What monofloral means

One flower, one jar

Every flower's nectar carries its own sugars, minerals and aromatic oils. That is what sets a honey's colour, flavour and texture - not the hive, not any process, the flower alone. Monofloral means one flower did that work, start to finish.

What it is What it isn’t

One bloom, worked while it lasts A blend of whatever was flowering

Colour, flavour and texture set by that flower's nectar Flavour or colour added afterward

Different jar to jar, because the bloom differs Every jar made to taste the same

One harvest, once a year Topped up all year round

A pale, mild honey and a dark, strong one can come from hives an hour apart - the difference is which flower was in bloom, not what we did to it.

Two spoons a day

You switched to honey to be healthier. Does it actually do anything?

Yes - at two tablespoons a day, in place of sugar. Across 18 trials and 1,105 people, that dose moved five markers.

Fasting glucose lower across the pooled trials

LDL & total cholesterol both fell at ~40 g daily

Triglycerides rises fastest on refined sugar

HDL the one you want going up

Blood pressure eases with each 10 g a day
